El patrimonio intangible. Regenerando Vallcarca a través del plan popular

Vallcarca, close to Parc Güell, surrounded by mountains, in the upper part of the district of Gràcia. It has undergone a change that makes it unrecognisable, a neighbourhood that seems trapped in time, the result of a ferocious urban development process that has seriously weakened not only the urban fabric but also the socio-economic fabric.

Its inhabitants, through the appropriation of public space as a means of transformation, have been changing the reality of the place. The project relies on its popular plan to transform this place, intervening in Can Carol and La Cantera, two places with a great symbolic value, being part of the historical memory of the neighbourhood. It reconverts these spaces into cultural equipment, open-air sports equipment and cooperative housing.
